... they deserve to stand tall.
After a grueling and exciting match that lasted more than an hour, Koo Kien Keat and Tan Boon Heong heartbreakingly succumbed to the near flawless play from the reigning All England Champions Jung and Lee. After looking at their performance, I conclude that they have nothing to be ashamed of, and should stand tall and proud after putting up a good fight.
Koo and Tan came into this match wanting to prove to the world that they are back. Although they failed to defend their runners-up position, they still managed to achieve that goal - the world now knows that they are back. In particular, I want to congratulate Tan Boon Heong, and say that: there is nothing to be ashamed of, and don't be too overly upset. If you don't win here, keep trying, and keep fighting! Thats the spirit that champions need, and that is the spirit you exhibited here today, and you should be throughly proud of yourself, as we are of you.
From defeat, comes experience. From defeat, a champion is sculpted. From defeat, comes a victor. But the true victor of the match is not the one who won. If you can learn from this defeat, then you are the true victors of this match.
Keep fighting boys, and know that Malaysia is always behind you! We are proud of you!
