All England Quarterfinals Predictions

Lee Yong Dae/Lee Hyo Jung vs. Zheng Bo/Gao Ling
Zheng and Gao return after 3 months of exile from the badminton world. The Koreans however, have already started making waves in the international badminton scene in the absence of the reigning world number 1. Both pairs, I believe, have not met each other before, and it would be very interesting to see which pair prevails. The key will be how sharp Hyo Jung is and whether Gao Ling would be too tired.

Choong Tan Fook/Lee Wan Wah vs. Luluk Hadiyato/Alvent Yulianto
It will be a veterans vs. veterans match. Choong and Lee have been impressive lately, and yesterday exacted revenge on half a world champions - USA shuttlers Howard Bach and Khan Bob Malaythong. However, Luluk and Alvent have also seen a sudden resurgence of form. However, I still think the advantage lies with the Malaysians after being the only one left standing. Choong and Tan to take it in 3 sets.

Lee Chong Wei vs. Taufik Hidayat
The match of the day. Taufik's form has been suspect, especially being dragged into 3 sets and barely coming out of it by Vietnamese Tien Minh. That match lasted 1 minute short of an hour, and this will certainly work in favor of Lee, who has not been tested so far. Lee to take it in 2 sets.

Hwang Hye Youn vs. Wong Mew Choo
The last time the pair met, Mew Choo lost to Hye Youn. However, I think that that was only a one off incident and Malaysia's golden girl will bounce back to storm into the finals of the All England. Mew Choo in 2 sets.
